Happy Saturday everyone!
And yes, it's Saturday. Yes, yesterday was Friday - the first Friday I missed posting since... last June, which seems crazy to me. I started blogging over a year ago, and yet it feels like just yesterday.
Time is weird like that - something that happened years ago, feels like last week, but then other times we look up and time is moving so fast, we desperately want to beg it to stop. Other times, it's moving so slowly we feel like we've been stuck in the same spot for so long.
If we get caught up in our pasts, or dreams of the future - if we get stuck worrying about times that aren't now, things that are out of our control, and change that we don't like - we lose sight of the most important time.
Now.
Not yesterday. Not tomorrow. Not the change that we hate or the things we wish could have been.
It's now that is the most important time because it's the only time we can change - it's the only time that we're currently living in.
As we go through this summer and get caught up in the whirlwind of things to do and plans and all the craziness of a way too short summer, don't forget to live, not in yesterday, but in the present.
In right now - the time and place God has given you, the people He has placed around you, the ways He is loving you, and the adventures He has for you.
In this day that the Lord has made. Rejoice and be glad in it. Glorify Him, love His children, and open your eyes to the beauty and adventures He has for you in today.
